Being Sick

Since this is the first time babies are exposed to the world, they can be sick quite frequently. While this is annoying for both parents and infants, it’s part of building a healthy immune system, so that in the future, they will become less sick.

Diaper Rash

Babies are used to being inside the womb in a water environment where everything was cushy. Babies wear diapers 24 hours a day, so their skin is constantly rubbed by its texture. This can cause diaper rashes and other skin problems as their skin adapts.

Colic

Colic is a condition where your baby cries non-stop for no apparent reason. Doctors are unsure what causes colic, which makes it extremely hard to treat. This begins when an infant is very young (around two weeks of age) and can persist till around three months of age.

Vomiting

Vomiting in babies is actually quite common, which is where burping babies helps them to get rid of excess air they intake while feeding. However, spit up and vomit are two things that your baby can do as its body adjusts to eating.

CHOOSE SHELL’S EARLY LEARNING CENTERS TODAY

As you can see, infant struggles are mainly due to adjusting to the world we live in, and for the most part, they are normal and should not be of concern. When you partner with Shell’s Early Learning Center, we understand what is normal in infants and what is not, and we offer full reports to you at the end of each day. We also offer our parent communication app, where we report to you how your infant is doing throughout the day. Get in touch with us to learn more today.
